Juventus 3-0 Barcelona. By Phil Dawkes. BBC Sport.  For the second European round running, Barca - who were as defensively suspect as they were in losing 4-0 to Paris St-Germain in the first leg of their last-16 tie - must recover from a heavy away defeat to progress. However, after their record-breaking achievement to overturn that deficit against PSG, they will retain hope heading into the return leg at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, 19 April.

Paulo Dybala's double inspired Juventus to a 3-0 win over Barcelona in the first leg of their quarter-final on Tuesday night, leaving the Catalan giants needing another miracle comeback in the Champions League. Luis Enrique's side made history by overturning a 4-0 deficit to knock PSG out 6-1 in the last round of the competition, but they wil

Paulo Dybala's brilliant first-half brace and Giorgio Chiellini's second-half header gave Juventus a 3-0 win over Barcelona It is scarcely credible to imagine Massimilino Allegri's streetwise Juventus defence, marshalled superbly by Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini – who scored the third 10 minutes after half-time – folding as the Ligue 1 champions did in the Camp Nou cauldron. Outgoing Barca boss Luis Enrique once again deployed the hybrid 3-4-3 he fielded to see off PSG but the result was a disorganised rabble that was picked apart by Serie A's dominant force. Th

Juventus defeated Barcelona 3-0 in their Champions League quarter-final first leg in Turin with Paulo Dybala scoring twice.  Paulo Dybala was the catalyst as Juventus took revenge for t heir defeat by Barcelona in the 2015 fina l. The 23-year-old Argentina forward eclipsed his compatriot Lionel Messi, with whom he has drawn comparison, to score two excellent first-half goals. Both were the product of sweet left-foot finishes that gave his side a momentum they never relinquished.  However, despite their problems Barça’s captain, Andrés Iniesta, still believes they will reach the semi-finals in light of their performance in overcoming a 4-0 first-leg deficit against PSG to win the last-16 tie 6-5 on aggregate. “We will turn the tie around if we do things as we need to do in Barcelona ,” he said.

Juventus exploited Barcelona’s poor organisation in the first half, although the game was a closer contest than the scoreline might suggest. Barca system. The key feature of this game was Barcelona’s unusual shape. When the line-ups were revealed, it wasn’t clear whether they were using a three-man defence or a four-man defence – in the end, it was a bit of both. It was a back three in possession, but then Barca shifted into a four when Juventus had the ball. Luis Enrique has tried something similar repeatedly in recent weeks, often without great success, and the system asked a huge amount of

Against Juventus, Nelson Semedo was absolutely sensational. Probably the best player on the pitch besides Leo Messi, especially in the first half when Juve were Barça’s equal and really giving as good as they got. The Portuguese pushed Barça forward when he had the ball, but what was more impressive was just how tune in he was to the defensive side of things. Semedo’s electric pace and keen defensive sensibilities make him an incredible recovery defender, allowing him to bail the Blaugrana out of several bad situations. Not just stopping counters, but even rushing across to defend the far post

Juventus on the other hand are flying high in the league and all set for another Serie A title but thats not the priority this year as they have the squad to win Champions League. Marko Pjaca is out injured for rest of the season but apart from that Juventus are well rested and in good shape to lineup with their strongest possible team. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Tuesday, 11 April 2017 for the first leg in Turin. Match Predictions: Last time these two meet was back in 2015 Champions League final where Barcelona came from a goal down to win 3-1 thanks to incredible individual
